A catch up.

Firstly a very belated happy new year to you all. I was going to do a new year and resolutions type thread, until I realised that like nearly every year I don't actually have any resolutions. I hope you are all managing to stick to yours! We have started the year by clearing out some of the old and bringing in the new though. It feels good to clear through all the things that just don't get used and pass it on and clear it out either to charity or via ebay.

As for in with the new I have just treated myself to this gorgeous sling and it really is beautiful! The pictures don't do it justice as to how lovely it really is. I'll try and get some actual pictures if this rain stops, but me and Isaac have been enjoying lots of newborn snuggles in it.

I feel like my little baby is getting big already. He is 4 weeks old today and I realised how much he has grown when I saw him next to a 2 week old baby earlier this week. I don't know how much he weighs now, but there is no denying he has lost that very new look and is starting to fill out. So I'm enjoying every moment while he is still small. N is still doing really well with him, not once has he shown any sign of jealousy, he is such a lovely caring big brother.

Back to the new years resolution thing, although I don't have any, I have been quite inspired this week to try and get my camera out again. I suppose I could make that a sort of resolution. Since N was born I haven't really got the camera out except for at family occasions and the like. I had just about refound my photography thing when I got pregnant again and was too tired to get out much. The picture that inspired me was This guy really has some beautiful photos I love Whitby, and have actually stayed in the Blue cottage for a week, and this picture just stirred up my photography gene. So being realistic I'm not going to get into taking too many pictures, but small steps and all that. I'm currently also being inspired about my garden. Lots of lovely seed and plant catologues have been arriving through my door, but there is a couple of months to go until it's planting time so for now it's just browsing. It's nice to look forward to it all and being able to get out and do some gardening again will be great.

I have a little dodgy uterus coincidence to post about, but I'll do that next time. For now I'll just say goodbye and I hope the weather there is better then it is here.

what a lovely picture. It reminds me of our trip to Robin Hood's Bay. Really want to go there again. x
